    Fluffy Rexes

    Hello.

I am learning to use Blender, and I wondered what it might look like to create a "feathered" rex using the skins and mesh from the game. I've created feathers for all the skins that can be pulled from the game, except the "Battle-Scarred Rex," because that texture requires a different mesh. The Snow Rex, Noxious Rex, and Sandstorm Rex don't really have skins that could be used in this project. Also, this should not be seen as a reflection of my thoughts on the validity of the feathered-rex hypothesis; I just like to work with hair in Blender. : )

    Default

    Equus

    Green

    Gun-Metal

    Lime

    Noxious

    Obsidian

    Snow

    Volcano

WOW, these look awesome! I hope a Snow rex can be made one day because I'd love to use it in-game! Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much to Inushiro for the AWESOME avatar!

You know... I never were too fond of feathered rexes... doesnt matter if they are realistic or not.

But these... I can live with these! The green one's my favorite

    Very nice!

Though you can only go so far to make Primal's inaccurate tonka truck rex (their hands are even broken in that pose) look good with feathers (IMO feathers only work well with accurate rex). You have made the best yet, though.

Great job. The Harlequin is definitely my favorite.

    Oh wow, these are great!
Sadly though, I don't think it fits our Rex (plus it kinda looks like downy fluff that you would find on a baby).

    Official human-hogger (mostly).

Lovely! If only we could have such detailed textures rendered in-game, ha. I'm curious about Snow Rex as well.

(IMO) It kinda still does. The pose hides how stubby the rex is, and these are technically furred rex instead of feathered ones. No knock against Dragonvoid, but feathers and big daddy just don't mesh together all that well (though it does look better than I thought do to how different it is than primal's usual use of feathers)
